Hey Daniel, when I look at my page it says open, but when I click on the hours they all say closed. Is that what you see? I'm going to have to figure out how to put close on the front page.
Yes.
No, our ice cream is home made, not rolled. We hope you will give us a try!!!
Our ice cream cups/cake cones start at $3.50, our shakes start at $6.50 and sundaes start at $5.75. Hope this helps.
I'm not sure what you are asking...
Hey Ashton, Our original store opened July 2015 and our Oyster House location opened in 2016.
Hey Sacha, All of our ice cream is dairy based. We do have sorbet that is non dairy. Hope you can come visit us.
Yes
The ice cream tastes good and the customer service is great, but the “homemade Alabama ice cream” is a lie. As we were sitting outside, an “Ice Cream Club” delivery truck pulled up and made a delivery of several cartons of ice cream. You can get this ice cream at tons of other places, no need to go just to Matt’s!
The scoop was good. One sundae was good the other was okay. The later seemed to be missing some hot fudge. It was an average experience.
Great ice cream, lots of choices and a must to visit each year when we come to Gulf Shores.
My family went to Matt's Alabama homemade icecream and I was not disappointed they have great icecream and there boardwalk location also have shakes, malts and even a candy store but the best part was the staff lucas and Bella were their when we popped in and they were both delightful and another fellow chase was very outspoken and friendly we will definitely be back here on our next vacation!! Thanks for making our vacation so much sweeter 😁
Really good ice cream, friendly staff. Doing well with face coverings.
Ice cream is amazing but the absolute best part of our visit was the young man who was overwhelmed with a large crowd but handle it with a superb attitude and very efficiently. Our scooper was Lucas and handled the experience with grace and speed.
The ice cream here is amazing. I got the caramel cheesecake Cookie Monster and it was the best ice cream I have ever had.
Good ice cream and atmosphere. There is also candy here as well. A little pricey but this is in a tourist town. It was a welcomed sweet treat to the end of a long day.
Nice atmosphere. The ice cream was great! Love the original flavors, we got a scoop of lemon icebox, blueberry cheesecake, banana pudding, seagull tracks, cookie monster, and Alabama hot chocolate!
It was some of the best ice cream I had ever had. I got red velvet cake. It had chunks of cake in it. I loved it. It was a new favorite place for the whole family. Expect to go there at least once every time we are in town.
Visiting the area and realized Gulf Shores has thousands of ice cream places. We had the choice between closest to the condo or taking the 4 min drive to Matt's. So glad we came because this place was amazing. The staff was quick and courteous and the selection was wide. All in all, we were very happy with our experience and will probably be making a stop again before we leave
Banana Split was good, friendly staff, cute little joint.
Matt's Ice Cream, "voted Alabama's #1 ice cream," has two locations in Gulf Shores. We visited the 1308 Gulf Shores Pkwy location and had a great time. I couldn't decide on what flavor to get, so I went with three that may not have been the best combination (peach, key lime and strawberry cheesecake) but were each quite delicious on their own. Plenty of flavors, toppings and non-ice cream options available. They were fairly crowded, but the friendly staff was able to make quick work of all our demands. Despite being named Matt, I did not get a discount (lol) but did make sure to grab a t-shirt on the way out. If you're looking for a sweet treat, I would definitely recommend Matt's Ice Cream.
Great selection of both flavors and toppings. The whole family found something they liked. We enjoyed the coffee, banana pudding, and caramel cheesecake flavors. Definitely on the rich and creamy side, but it won't disappoint!
Always Our Favorite Ice Cream Spot In Gulf Shores! The Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream & The Twisted Coconut Ice Cream Are A Must Try!
Good ice cream but dirty tables, bathrooms and over flowing trash. Needed more workers than 2 to keep things clean for covid regs which guessing arent being done.
Honestly this is some of the best ice cream and customer service I've ever had the only place I say is equal in comparison is sweet cone Alabama in orange beach
Our family stopped in for a cool treat after playing putt-putt around 3pm and found the place nearly empty, which is very nice in these current social distancing conditions. The select of ice cream is vast and they have flavors I’ve never seen. We all tried different things: a few scoops, a couple of floats, and a banana split to share. Everything was delicious and we almost finished it all, but not quite. The restaurant was very clean and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious ice cream treats in Gulf Shores, AL.
Great flavors. Great service. Wearing a mask!
My family got a variety of different treats and all were great. Staff was very helpful and friendly as well. I'll definitely be stopping here again next time we're in town.
Literally the best ice cream ever. The service was amazing too! Cade was so nice and helpful and even remembered me he was so helpful and kind. I’ve never had better service or ice cream in my life. I’m big sad that I’m leaving Alabama because I’ve come here almost every night I was in town.
The ice cream is mediocre and you can easily taste the base flavors (vanilla, chocolate, etc.) The prices are laughable, absolutely outrageous. Staff was nice but I would not recommend coming here. Don't believe the hype.
Best icecream in town and excellent service.
Great homemade ice cream! Best one we've visited so far here in Gulf Shores. Nice choice of flavors and friendly employees. Beachy decor inside as well. Totally recommend!!
None of the ice cream here is homemade! It says everywhere in their store + on the sign that it is homemade. That is what brought us to this ice cream shop out of the tons of others available in gulf shores. Very disappointing. Change your advertising if its not actually homemade!
Delicious ice cream with a local flair. A nice selection of over 50 flavors, and traditional favorites like Sundays and banana splits. Cost is medium, about $5 for a scoop with a cone and $10 for a banana split. It's worth it for a special treat on a hot day!
Went in on July 8th. No scooper in view. Once I finally flagged her out of her (what sounded like a funny story) conversation in the back of the building she went from laughing to serious face. She never washed her hands or wore gloves, all while constantly rubbing her face and scooping. It's unacceptable to not make sure your guests have a safe visit. This means taking precautions on your end to be clean and sanitary. At least wash your hands!
Was informed that the highly advertised "homemade ice cream" was NOT HOMEMADE. TCBY across the street was better. Extremely disappointed
This place is a diamond in the rough. We go here every summer when visiting Gulf Shores, and they always have new and delicious flavors. This summer, I suggest the Hazelnut!
I had a Mango sea foam slush, which is Mango sherbert and sprite, it was nice and refreshing on a hot day, though having size options would be nice. My wife and daughter had a scoop of cotton candy ice cream which they said was tasty.
There was one girl working and a line out the door. She continued to be sweet even though she was a bit swamped. Ice Cream is also super delicious!
